Pull some – not all – of the slack through. Only pull enough through to get your strap around/over your cargo. Hook one end of the ratchet tie-down strap to your E-track slot. E-track tie-down straps are extremely adjustable, you can move the strap anywhere you need on the E-track. Once the strap is secure in the slot, pull most of the slack through the ratchet. With most of the slack now pulled through, hook the other end of the tie-down strap to the other side of the cargo.
