Offered for Sale: Last of the Modern Series Barclay Transports with the “Hot Neon” Color Packard Sedans & Coupes This set was manufactured from 1970 to 1971. This transport has its original paint and features a cab & trailer with white wall tires. This trailer came with the tab bent up from the factory rather than a loose in tab that seemed to always get lost. The cars were fitted with the one piece axles and wheels that cost less to produce but broke easily and just did not hold up well to the play that a young boy of the day could administer to these cars. The white wall tires also did not retain the white well and finding them in any condition seems to be harder to accomplish than finding sets of the 1st/Vintage series from 1932. The white walls on this cab & trailer are an exception as they are in very good condition. This Modern Series Transport set has minor flaws from the Barclay manufacturing process and minimal play wear as shown from the 1 or 2 nicks/chips in the paint of the cab & on the neon orange car. The last 2 pictures show a paint flaw on the “hot” yellow car as quality control was less monitored during the last period of manufacturing. This Transport has ’51 Packard Sedans & Coupes along with the ’63 Ford Cab. The hitch on the cab has the usual but minimal paint wear. The pictures should show details and if you have any questions, please ask before making this purchase. Truck & trailer length: approximately 4 3/4″ Each car length: approximately 1 1/2″ Should you not want to keep this transport set, return is available. This toy is not intended for use by children.
