Ultra rare model, yet along in this condition: top condition, gently used a couple of times only, still has the original leather band, only the box and papers are missing. Super rare model, Swiss made, especially made for the Italian market, nowhere else to be found. Ultra rare flat case: 6.5mm thickness. Rare medium sized case, impossible to find it nowadays. Sapphire Crystal. 10 Years Battery Life. Extremely rare model. Timeless design. A classical three pieces constructed stainless steel case and Sapphire Crystal, will safeguard your timepiece for many years to come. The ivory colored dial with applied stainless steel indices for the hours and applied stainless steel Mercedes Benz star logo at 12 o’clock, will flatter any wrist with it’s elegant and timeless design. The length of the hour and minute hands was coordinated precisely to the hour markers that are located at intervals of five minutes. Mercedes Benz star logo signed for the extra tocuh. This Mercedes Benz timepiece has a two classic hand configuration and is reminiscent of pocket watch designs. A snap-on stainless steel back, with the MB logo laser engraved, makes the watch water resistant to 5 ATM. It is secured on your wrist by an extremely soft and black genuine leather band with a crocodile embossed pattern on which is made in Italy (in leather, they are worldwide renowned for their craftsmanship). The leather band closes with a folding stainless steel buckle that has a Mercedes Benz logotype engraved on it, to match the case. Sapphire crystal. Diamond hardness is 10, Sapphire is 9 on the Mohs scale of hardness. Virtually scratch proof.ATTENTION !!! Every known brand submits the watch to a 2-phase test in a chamber, where it has to withstand to pressure for the minimum length of time required by industrial standards. It may seem a paradox, but low pressure-resistance, say at 0.5 bar equivalent to 50 cm depth is more critical to achieve, because increasing pressure tends to compress the seals, thereby increasing the resistance; the second phase test conducted at 3 bar (30 m.) is confirmatory. Because of a solid case-construction, the known brands watches will resist to 10 bar (100 m. or 300 ft) and we could confidently call it a «diver’s watch» 2. HOWEVER: The water resistance of a wristwatch is constantly challenged by mechanical wear caused by bumps, shocks etc., rapid changes in temperature, caustic acids, chemicals, etc. and can therefore not be guaranteed as a permanent condition. I renounces to using inflationary «theoretical» claims; the decision to wear your valuable timepiece for swimming, diving or in the Sauna is yours. On a side-note: only very few specially trained and equipped divers reach depths of 100 m and wear professional computers to indicate the life-saving compression- and decompression data; at such depths, normal watches will just not do.
