Welcome to The Speaker Port Up for sale is a single brand new replacement tone arm drive gear to replace the rubberized version in an Onkyo CP-1057F turntable (or similar model that uses the same gear.) This is NOT an original unit, but a reproduction using cutting edge 3D Printing technology. It is made from PLA which is substantially stronger than the original rubber material that breaks down/cracks/melts as a result of age, heat and the elements. Substantial time and effort and numerous versions of this gear have been produced to ensure we have as accurately as possible reproduced the original part. With this said, please read these important notes on it’s use: TolerancesDue to limitations in the capabilities of current 3D printing technology, tolerances are not 100% exact to the original. I have personally (and successfully) tested this gear on otherwise working system that has not been modified or been damaged in any way. If your system has been modified or has damage, it is possible you may have fitment issues. Please address these modifications/damages first. FitmentEvery attempt was made to try and get this gear to be a direct replacement for the original. Depending on your actual system, there may two things you may run into. I will do my best to describe each and provide instructions on how to deal with them. The gear is held onto it’s shaft by a simple, yet small C-clip. First and foremost, take care in removing this clip to prevent damage to it. Properly and completely clean the shaft to remove any grease/debris from the original gear. In addition, make certain the the motor worm gear and bottom tone arm gears are also properly and completely cleaned of any old lubrication grease/debris. I recommended using either proper turntable oil or lithium grease to re-lubricate the shaft before you put on the new gear. You do not need tons….just enough to sufficiently coat it.The servo motor that drives this gear has a worm drive on it. It spins the wider end of the gear which in turn spins the tone arm gear at the bottom with the thinner end. There are two small screws that hold down the bracket that the servo motor is mounted to. If you notice that your worm drive gear is not making a good enough contact to the new gear, you can simply loosen up these screws and try to re-adjust the servo so it makes good contact and then tighten back up the screws. In fact, i recommend you do this no matter what just to make sure everything is good before you put it all back together again. Note: don’t make it too tight, it should have a little play between the gear and worm drive. The servo motor does not have a lot of torque so if it is too tight, it wont spin.Additional NotesI can only verify that it fits the CP-1057F. You can use this part at your own risk in other systems. The actual color of the gear may vary due to filament availability. Limited 30 Day Parts/Labor Warranty The Speaker Port will provide a limited 30-day warranty for this item against component failure. This is a repair/replace warranty only; it does not allow for the return of the item(s) for a refund for any reason. In addition, as this is a plastic part and can very easily be damaged due to improper use, we do not warranty against broken or worn teeth on either side of the gear. If for whatever reason you have having problems trying to get this part to work in a 1057F, please contact me….do not force the gear into use. Annual costs associated with the site make it even worse. On top of that, add on the percentage PayPal wants and as a result…you just lost a significant percentage f you overall sale. In order to sell products, you need to price competitively and fairly. In addition, we have families to feed so we cannot afford to give things away either. Shipping · All paid for items typically ship within 1 business day, however, we have a higher handling time defined in the event that an unforeseen issue comes up that prevents us from being able to ship immediately (such as weather related issues.) · Any item we charge shipping costs for are fairly priced based. They take into consideration the materials necessary to secure/protect your item in transit. We use new boxes and packing when possible. The total cost of shipping must take into account our costs for these materials, the actual shipping cost charged by USPS or FedEx. We will never charge ridiculous, overprices shipping charges for any reason. · As noted above, any listing we have that comes with ‘Free Shipping’ does not mean there is no cost associated with shipping the product.
